Week 1: History of Birthwork

Begin your doula journey with a comprehensive look into the history of birthwork. This opening week will explore the evolution of childbirth and doula support roles across different cultures and times. Understanding the roots and significant milestones in birthwork will enrich your appreciation for the role and prepare you to carry forward the legacy of compassionate care.

Week 2: Supporting Pregnancy

Dive into the essentials of supporting mothers during pregnancy. This week covers the physiological changes in pregnancy, alongside nutritional and emotional support strategies, preparing mothers for childbirth. Emphasizing a holistic approach, you'll learn to foster a nurturing environment that supports the mother's physical and emotional well-being throughout her pregnancy.

Week 3: Stages of Labor
